Lady Chatterley's Lover

It's a little late, but I've been so busy with school that reading is getting a little difficult to keep up with, but I did manage to finish an amazing book. Lady Chatterley's Lover by D.H. Lawrence is the first book I've read by him and I just want to say, Ahh-maaaayziiiiing!

It starts off kind of slow at first, but once the action starts, you won't be able to put it down. I know from experience! I stayed up all night last Saturday and pratically finished it.

The story is pratically your general romance story, but it keeps referring back to greed and money, and how a woman finds love in a society where true love rarely exists. You can tell it's wrote from a guy's perspective because I find it hard to fall inlove with Oliver Mellors. Sure. He's a great guy, but for me there really wasn't anything that made me want to just absolutely love him. I still think it's a great book because it does have its romantic moments and it does have a great moral.

Must read!!!!

The French Mistress

This week is yet another romance novel, but without such a happy ending. The French Mistress by Susan Holloway Scott is a fictional book based off of the characters: The Duchess of Portsmouth and King Charles II. It's a book about scandalous affairs and a love that really can't be explained without reading this book. I did enjoy the book, even though I must admit, it isn't one of my favorite books.
